The Zimbabwe Warriors have failed to travel as planned after a circus of events rooted in the perennial ZIFA financial distraught.

The drama started unfolding at the Warriors camp venue, Pandhari Lodge, where the hotel management refused to let go of the Warriors passports this morning when the team was due to depart for the airport.

The Pandhari management, who seemed to lack the faith in ZIFA as a worthy creditor, were demanding their accommodation fees of US$125 000 for the Warriors stay.

The passports were only released after ZIFA president, Cuthbert Dube had mortgaged yet another of his houses in Glen Lorne.

The team then went to the Harare International Airport where they met an equal fate as their travel agent cited he can only release tickets after a cash upfront payment of US$44 850 because the booked airline demanded cash up-front.

The latest developments come as a deep plunge into the Warriors morale who yesterday were blocked entry into their training facility.

Reports also claim the team was closed out of their said residence yesterday for some good two hours.

ZIFA president, Cuthbert Dube confirmed today's developments and revealed his board will sit down to review their relationship with the local hotel.

He also noted that the association is currently running around to get the required US$44 000 for airfares to allow the team that has been rebooked in a 7.20 am flight to finally travel.
