Outspoken Norton legislator Temba Mliswa has called on the police to ZIFA officials implicated in the misappropriation of funds failure to which he will lead a citizen's arrest upon their return from Egypt.
The Zimbabwe senior national team is taking part at the ongoing Afcon finals in Egypt where they lost to the hosts 1-0 on June 21.
Before the match, there was chaos in the Zimbabwe camp with players threatening to boycott the game if the national soccer governing body Zifa did not pay their dues upfront.
This led to speculation that some Zifa officials could have misappropriated funds.
"All Zifa officials implicated in the misappropriation of ZIFA funds must be arrested at the airport upon their arrival from Egypt. Failure to which, all those who support this move, join with me to wait for their return at the airport to effect a citizen's arrest! Zvakwana (enough is enough)," said Mliswa.
Zimbabwe faces Uganda in their second match on Wednesday.
