German club FC Augsburg are paying a fee of just €100 000 to loan Knowledge Musona for the coming season.
The former Kaizer Chiefs striker, who moved to the Bundesliga after finishing top goal scorer in South Africa's Premier Soccer League, failed to make an impact in his first season overseas and has now been sent out on loan to gain more experience.
Hoffenheim paid €1.3 million to Chiefs for the speedy Zimbabwe international this time last year but are now getting less than one-tenth of that back for the coming season, official figures around the agreement have revealed.
The 22-year-old is likely to have a better chance at Augsburg of seeing more regular action in the top flight of German football.
Last season Augsburg narrowly avoided the drop after the first campaign in the Bundesliga and have high hopes of staying up again this season.
Musona has been busy in the pre-season friendlies with Augsburg coach Markus Weinzerl giving him an opportunity â€" albeit as a winger rather than out and out striker.
But Musona has still to score after starting the last three friendly matches for his new team â€" joining them post the Word Cup and African Nations Cup qualifiers last month.
Musona was in the starting line-up against two German amateur clubs in the last week plus a friendly against Scottish champions Glasgow Celtic, that ended in a goalless draw.
