Knowledge Musona will be part of the Zimbabwean soccer team that will clash with Angola in a crucial African Cup of Nations qualifying round, after he was included in a provisional 26-man squad named by Rahman Gumbo this Wednesday afternoon.
Despite quitting the Zimbabwe Soccer team last month, German-based Musona has made a U-turn on his decision and was included in the provisional Warriors squad.
The goalkeepers called to do duty in the crucial showdown with Angola are Marlon Jani, George Chigova, Tapuwa Kapini and Ariel Sibanda.
Despite picking up an ankle injury while training for Amazulu last week, Kapini was surprisingly called up, with Warrior's team manager Nyika Chifamba saying they would assess players with injury worries.
The defenders are Carlington Nyadombo, Onismor Bhasera, Esrom Nyandoro, Arnold Chaka, Innocent Mapuranga, Passmore Bernard, Noel Kaseke, Oscar Machapa and Belgium-based Vusa Nyoni.
Tinashe Nengomasha, Rodwell Chinyengetere, Archiford Gutu, Peter Moyo, Khama Billiat, Abbas Amidu, Knowledge Musona, and Denver Mukamba are the midfielders that will battle for a place in the final 18.
In the team's strike force, Mike Temwanjira makes a surprise return to the squad, with Takeshure Chinyama, Quincy Antipas, Donald Ngoma and Shabanie hitman Nelson Mazivisa completing the line-up of players called for the vital AFCON encounter with Angola's Palancas Negras on the 9th of September.
