Former Warriors national team player, Zvenyika Makonese, is now a taxi rank marshal in South Africa after failing to attract a team to take him on board.

The Sunday Sun claims Zvenyika's family and his wife are understood to be in the care of a church organisation, the Christ Ministries.

Makonese was offloaded by Orlando Pirates following his hugely publicised night life loving extravaganza and in 2011 briefly returned to Zimbabwe and turned out for Shabanie Mine.

He then returned to South Africa during the mid of the Zimbabwean soccer programme to join Black Leopards but the club did not register him resulting in him failing to play football.

Since then he has struggled to attract a club and observers believe the player should swallow his pride and return to Zimbabwe to try and sort out his life again.

Reports also say former Caps United striker and 1996 Castle Soccer Star of the Year Award winner, Stewart Murisa, has also fallen on hard times in South Africa.

He, however, denied this when contacted by Radio VOP. He instead challenged Zimbabweans to 'come and see where I stay'.
