MOSES Chunga is being linked with a return to CAPS United as the 2005 champions prepare for the forthcoming 2013 Premier Soccer League season.
Chunga, who won the championship with Gunners in 2009, was spotted at the Caps United morning training session yesterday.
Although he did not take part in training, his presence fuelled speculation he could be joining the Harare giants.
Chunga could, however, not be reached for comment by the time of going to print.
Caps United president Twine Phiri was also unavailable as he was said to be out of the country.
However, a source close to Caps United said Chunga could be coming in as either technical director or head coach.
"Yes, he was at training, but we are not sure of his immediate intentions," the source said.
Caps are under the guidance of caretaker coach Mkhuphali Masuku after Taurai Mangwiro was handed a 10-year ban from all football activities for his alleged involvement in the Asiagate match-fixing scandal.
Mangwiro has, however, appealed against the ban. But United are preparing to rope in another coach in the event that Mangwiro's appeal is thrown out.
Last week, former Dynamos coach Lloyd Mutasa, who is now Warriors assistant coach, was also linked to the job with the Harare giants.
