Warriors in top 100 on FIFA rankings

The Zimbabwe national soccer team's 2-1 victory over Botswana on the 6th of this month has propelled them into the top 100 of the FIFA World Rankings released Thursday.
The Warriors were 102nd but the 2-1 international friendly win over the Zebras propelled them into the top 100.
The national team also improved on its African ranking moving one place from 27th to 26th.
Klaus Dieter Pagels is hoping to see a continued rise on the FIFA rankings as his charges prepare for other assignments.
The Warriors are set to clash with Egypt in a crucial World Cup qualifier next month.
Meanwhile, Burkina Faso's impressive showing at the AFCON finals where they lost to Nigeria 1-nil in the final has seen them become the biggest movers in the world during the period after climbing 37 places up the ladder.
The Stallions were ranked number 92 in the world before the AFCON tournament but now occupy position 55.
The Stallions are now also ranked 9th in Africa.
Newly crowned African champions, Nigeria also moved 22 places and are now ranked number 30 in the world up from 55.
The Super Eagles are also Africa's 4th ranked side up from number 9.
Perennial AFCON flops, Cote d'Ivoire remain Africa's best ranked team despite crashing out of the AFCON finals in the quarter finals.
Ghana who were knocked out in the semi-finals by Burkina Faso remain the continent's second best ranked side while Mali maintained third position.
Algeria, Tunisia, Zambia, Central African Republic and South Africa complete Africa's top 10. Giant killers' Cape Verde moved two places to position 13 in Africa.
On the global stage, Spain maintained pole position with Germany and Argentina maintaining 2nd and 3rd positions.
