Caps United say they will put aside the challenges that have stuttered their preparations so far, vowing Makepekepe will not be fighting any relegation battles in the 2013 season.

All has not been rosy in the Caps United camp. First it was the departure of one of its director's Farai Jere, then came the sacking of some senior key players over financial concerns.

Reports are that finances are still scarce at the Green Machine who are head hunting for a partner.

Despite the challenges in the boardroom, on the field, assistant coach Brenna Msiska says no Caps United supporter will suffer any relegation worry in 2013.

Team manager, Josphat Rwafa echoed Msiska's sentiments saying the Green Machine has been doing their thing silently, adding that many will be shocked come the start of the season.

While Caps may be housing what many may perceive as average players in the form of Tapiwa Khumbuyani, Pride Tafirenyika, Blessing Zabula, Rahman Kutsanzira, David Rediyoni and Leonard Fiyado, new acquisitions such as Division One top striker Dominic Chungwa who came from Hippo Valley, Gift Phiri from Motor Action, tried and tested goalkeeper Tafadzwa Dube, former Monomotapa defender Knowledge Machona and youngster Ronald Pfumbidzai may sure provide the key ingredients in putting the Makepekepe wheels in motion.

Caps will this weekend gauge their preparedness when they play army-side Black Rhinos in a charity soccer match for the Zimbabwe National Army at Rufaro Stadium on Sunday.

The match is aimed at raising funds for various army charity organisations.
