THE 2013 Premier Soccer League season is set to kick off at the end of March.
Although the PSL leadership is reluctant to reveal the date for the start of the league programme, a reliable source close to the management said it has been tentatively set for March 23, a week after the NetOne Charity Shield Cup final.
"It has been agreed the 2013 Premier Soccer League (PSL) season will kick off on March 23. This will be a week after the NetOne Charity Shield Cup final. The semi-finals of the NetOne Charity Shield are set for March 10," said the source.
Voting for the teams that will take part in the NetOne Charity Shield ends on Sunday, a day after the PSL holds its annual general meeting in the capital.
This season 60 matches are set to be broadcast live on SuperSport with some in the evening.
They are also expecting to receive the 2013 consolidated calendar of events that will include the Warriors' World Cup, Chan and Cosafa tournaments and Dynamos' participation in the African Champions League.
