The Premier Soccer League says gate charges for this year's matches will remain fixed at US$3 for the rest of ground and clubs intending to hike particular matches will only do so after consultations with the league management.
It is game on tomorrow (Thursday), as the 2013 season kicks off and PSL boss Kennedy Ndebele says charges remain the same as in 2012.
Ndebele said the PSL will hold the right to decide on teams wanting to effect increases on gate charges.
"Gate charges remain the same as in 2012 which is $3 for the rest of the ground, $5 for the grand stands and $10 for the VIP. Teams can only make hikes after consultations with us and we will view the merits and demerits of such actions," said Ndebele.
As the third year in marriage between the PSL and its sponsors roars into life, there was also shared renewed hope of sponsorship negotiations, with Delta Marketing Executive Patricia Murambinda saying by mid season, a contract review could be on the cards.
"Nothing has really changed as this is our third and final year of contract, but we are seating down and by mid-season we should be able to announce the new packages," said Murambinda.
16 matches have been arranged for the Easter holidays.
The season, however, opens this Thursday with Harare City playing Caps United at Rufaro stadium, while Motor Action will host Hwange.
At White City stadium it will be a battle of the newcomers as How Mine takes on Tripple B.
