Ronaldo more important for Madrid than Messi is for Barca - Carlos

Former Brazil international Roberto Carlos has underlined the importance of Cristiano Ronaldo for Real Madrid, stating that the Portugal star is more important for his team than Lionel Messi is for Barcelona.
"I really like Messi's style of play. However, Ronaldo can do much more for Madrid than Messi can for Barcelona. Madrid really depend on Ronaldo to perform well, while Barcelona are so much more than Messi. That's why I think Ronaldo will be more decisive," said Carlos to Sport.
The veteran, who now plays in Russia with Anzhi, went on to praise's Barcelona's style, but added that Madrid have made a lot of progress this term.
"The way Barcelona play really is something special that you don't see a lot. They make everything look very easy and really seem to be enjoying themselves on the pitch.
"Madrid have also really improved though this term. They're taking a lot of criticism, but they've reached the semi-finals of the Champions League and the final of the Copa del Rey."
Saturday"s match between Real Madrid and Barcelona at Santiago Bernabeu kicks off at 22:00 CET.
