Dembare launch witch hunt to weed out player and offcials saboteurs

Castle Lager Premier Soccer League champions Dynamos have launched a witch hunt in a bid to try and weed out players and officials suspected of sabotaging the team after an indifferent start to the campaign.
DeMbare have so far collected just four points from as many matches after recording an equal number of draws.
After the latest, a dull nil all draw against league debutants Triangle, the Dynamos executive and technical team converged to try and identify the source of problems bedevilling the Harare giants.
Surprisingly, the group spent most of the time discussing allegations of juju levelled against committee member Simon Sachiti in their meeting on Tuesday.
A Harare businessman is believed to be behind a project to destabilise the champions by influencing certain players to sabotage coach Kalisto Pasuwa.
A source said the executive strongly suspects that there is an underhand in the team's slump in form and they have launched investigations.
"The issue of some players and officials sabotaging the team was discussed because the executive got a tip-off that some players were getting paid to sabotage the team", said the source.
"The executive declined to tell the technical team the names of the players but will launch further investigations."
The two parties, the executive on one side and the technical team on the other, played the blame game in that meeting.
"The executive told the technical team that they had done everything including buying the players the coaches had requested. But the technical team argued that the executive failed to pay for the first choice players and they only settled for the cheaper ones."
Pasuwa argued that the executive failed to bring in the players on his wish list and those they signed represent numbers and not necessarily the best quality.
The technical team had requested, among others, Tawanda Nyamandwe, Donald Ngoma and Aaron Katebe.
But the two parties found common ground in that meeting and will work together to improve the team's results and the league match against Highlanders at the weekend is a crucial one.
Bosso need the points as much as Dynamos after a home defeat to Motor Action in their last league match.
Francesco Zikumbawire has returned to action for Dynamos after an injury lay-off and he will need to break his duck with patience running out among DeMbare fans.
Striker Patrick Khumbula also hopes to return to scoring form against a team he got a brace in the Bob 89 Super Cup.
This match is as important to Pasuwa as it is to Kelvin Kaindu after murmurs of doubt about his capability to land the coveted prize.
Kaindu has sprung a few surprises with his team selection this season and last season's star Masimba Mambare has been used as a substitute.
Njabulo Ncube's precision in front of goal will be important and Peter Moyo will need to help his team claim most of the possession in the midfield.
With all at stake the stage is set for another classic between Zimbabwe's two biggest football forces.
