Warriors prepare for World Cup qualifier against Egypt

THE Warriors went into camp last night to prepare for the World Cup qualifier against Egypt on Sunday at the National Sports Stadium and will begin training this morning. Last night, team manager, Sharrif
Mussa, said the players were still reporting for camp and they would only be in a position to comment today on the players that have reported for duty.
Their opponents, Egypt, are scheduled to play Botswana today in Cairo in an international friendly.
The Pharaohs have devised this plan of engaging a Southern African team, with a similar playing style to Zimbabwe, for a friendly international in the very week that they play the Warriors.
Last time they hosted Swaziland and powered to a 10-0 win in Alexandria, just days before their World Cup qualifier against Zimbabwe.
Warriors' coach Dieter Klaus Pagels has called up a squad of 25 players and yesterday the coach was hoping to watch the footage of their match against Egypt.
"All of them have confirmed that they are coming except for Quincy Antipas who is injured," said Pagels.
"We a meeting in the evening and once everyone is there we want to have a DVD session of the match we played in Alexandria this evening (yesterday).
"I think there are so many things we have to show the players, their weaknesses and so forth."
Meanwhile, the Pharaohs coach Bob Bradley wants to beef up his 2014 World Cup qualifiers team according to reports from Cairo.
The American coach has expressed his worries over possible injuries to his players ahead of two big matches.
