Bhasera set to leave Plymouth

WARRIORS defender Onismor Bhasera is set to leave his club Plymouth Argyle after reportedly rejecting a new contract he had been offered by his English League Two side, with League One outfit Walsall a possible destination.
Media reports from Plymouth yesterday suggested that the club had tabled a three-year contract for Bhasera, but the left-back is reluctant to sign amid interests from at least three clubs in the English third tier division.
Plymouth manager John Sheridan yesterday confirmed they had offered Bhasera, the club's Player of the Year last season, but reckons it is 50-50 whether he would sign.
Bhasera, the best left-back in League Two, according to Sheridan, has his contract with the Pilgrims expiring at the end of this month.
The Pilgrims manager said he was not surprised by speculation that Bhasera could be lured away from Home Park.
Sheridan said he was waiting for a response from Bhasera and wanted his future resolved, one way or another, by the end of this week.
When asked whether he thought Bhasera would re-sign for the Pilgrims, Sheridan replied: "I don't know. It's probably 50-50. We haven't heard anything from him, but he's a player I want to keep at the club. On the form he showed towards the end of last season, I think he's the best left-back in the division, and he has played in the Championship."
Bhasera signed for the Pilgrims as a free agent in March 2010, when they were still a Championship club, and has gone on to make a total of 114 appearances for them.
