JOHANNESBURG - Nyasha Mushekwi flew out of South Africa for a 10-day assessment at Belgian Pro League club Cercle Brugge following overnight negotiations between his representatives and Mamelodi Sundowns.

Mushekwi was actually in Polokwane with the rest of the Sundowns squad on pre-season camp as of last night, and even played in a friendly match, but upon the finalisation of the talks he was handed the green light to leave this morning.

Word reaching KickOff.com from his agent Ralph Nkomo is that Mushekwi was travelling to Brugge for an assessment that could possibly end up with him signing for 'The Green and Blacks' next week Friday.

The talks between Sundowns and Mushekwi's management, which centered on the 25-year-old's release conditions, stretched from last night till the early hours of this morning.

Sundowns - who are keen to release Mushekwi if their terms are met - have already made an indication to Cercle Brugge about the figure that they are looking at for them to release the burly forward.

The transfer figure that Sundowns have tabled to Cercle Brugge is something that the Belgians will want to negotiate on though at this moment everything will depend on the outcome of the assessment and medicals.

While Mushekwi pursues the option of Europe there remains domestic interest in his services.
