Dynamos  team manager Richard Chihoro yesterday came out in defence of his team after Buffaloes' goal area was soaked with urine at the weekend.

The reigning Castle Premiership champions went on to beat the Mutare soldiers 1-0 courtesy of defender Augustine Mbara's 59th minute strike.

For long periods of the match, Dynamos struggled to find a breakthrough against Buffaloes despite creating good scoring chances.

A number of superstitious Dynamos fans sitting in the Mbare end of the stadium began to throw down bottles believed to be filled with urine onto the goal area.

Buffaloes played defensively in the second half.

In a desperate move to unlock the Buffaloes defence, a number of Dembare players also started inspecting the Buffaloes' goal area at every opportunity.

The Dembare players also kicked some of the urine laden bottles into their opponents' net.

Moments after the shenanigans, Mbara's effort from outside the box, beat Buffaloes goalkeeper Blessing Mwandimutsira.

The Dynamos team manager, however, blamed the incident on superstitious supporters and distanced his team from the use of juju.

Chihoro said: "There is nothing like that. We don't use juju. We only train hard. I don't believe in the use of juju. If you don't train you lose.

"Those were superstitious fans.

"It is very normal in football to have people like that."

The win over Buffaloes saw Dembare move into second place on the log table, re-igniting their chances of retaining their title as they now trail log leaders Harare City by three points.
