ZIMBABWE international forward Khama Billiat failed the test at Russian club Lokomotive Moscow where he had gone for trials.
According to MTN Football, the Ajax Cape Town forward failed to impress Leonid Kuchuk the new coach for Lokomotiv Moscow during his four-day trial stint.
It is understood, however, the Zimbabwean international could still secure a move overseas with another club either in Belgium or France. This is despite interest from South African clubs Mamelodi Sundowns and Orlando Pirates.
The player's handlers are believed to be keen on trying an overseas option first before listening to offers in South Africa. Clubs in France and Belgium are reportedly interested in securing the services of Billiat, with Genk in the Belgian league reportedly his most likely destination.
The 22-year-old former Caps United forward is one of the most sought-after players in South Africa with both Orlando Pirates and Mamelodi Sundowns battling out for his services. Billiat has not hidden his desire to play his football abroad.
