The draw for the 2014 African Nations Championships (CHAN) was conducted on Wednesday (today) in Cairo, Egypt with seeded Zimbabwe's Warriors coming out in Group B alongside Morocco, Burkina Faso and Uganda.

There will not be any new opponents for Zimbabwe in the group stages of the 2014 CHAN finals in South Africa as the Warriors have played these countries in the past.

Tournament hosts Bafana Bafana were placed in Group B with Mozambique, CHAN debutants Nigeria and Mali.

Ghana's locally-based Black Stars will lead Group C's campaign against Congo Brazzaville, Ethiopia and Libya.

CHAN inaugural winners, the Democratic Republic of Congo, were handed seemingly easy tasks in Group D which has Mauritania, Burundi and Gabon.

Of the Warriors' three opponents, Uganda poses the biggest threat as the bulk of their players ply their trade locally.

Zimbabwe has played Burkina Faso and Morocco in the past in World Cup qualifiers and Africa Cup of Nations.

The top two in each pool will advance to the quarterfinals of the tournament which will be hosted in three South African cities Cape Town, Polokwane and Bloemfontein between January 11 and February 1.

The DRC won the first edition of the competition played in Ivory Coast in 2009, while Tunisia were victorious two years ago in Sudan.
