FC Platinum outclass, outshine and outplay a bewildered Dynamos

FC PLATINUM recorded their first-ever victory over Dynamos since gaining promotion into the top-flight league in 2011, with a comfortable win at Mandava Stadium in Zvishavane yesterday.
The victory compounded Kalisto Pasuwa's woes as his job at the Harare giants is hanging in the balance.
Prior to the match Pasuwa had been reported to be sitting on a knife edge at the helm of the blue and white side after he was given a one-match ultimatum following a recent slump in form which also saw the league champions being dumped out of the cash-rich Mbada Diamonds Cup last weekend by lowly-fancied How Mine.
FC Platinum rubbed salt onto Pasuwa's wounds courtesy of a first-minute strike by left-back Elvis Moyo and a 26th minute penalty by Charles Sibanda after Michelle Katsvairo had been brought down in the box by Dynamos full-back Partson Jaure.
The Harare side were lucky not to concede rugby like goals as FC Platinum were marauding all afternoon, with Thabani Kamusoko and Simon Shoko shutting out Dynamo's king pin Tawanda Muparati in the centre of the park.
FC Platinum outclassed a bewildered Dynamos from the first whistle as the home side showed their intentions to secure maximum points when the lanky left-back Moyo opened their account.
Moyo got to the end of a low cross on the right from Nelson Maziwisa who had neatly exchanged passes with Thabani Kamusoko and the towering left-back who was lurking unmarked inside the box made no mistake, hitting the roof of the net past a badly exposed George Chigova in goals for the visitors.
Dynamos did very little to respond to the goal allowing the home side to pile pressure on them.
FC Platinum pressure paid off in the 26th minute when speedy striker Katsvairo was brought down in the box by Jaure and Mutare-based referee Langton Chitsa pointed to the spot.
Charles Sibanda made no mistake from the spot to seal victory for the Platinum miners.
After the score FC Platinum supporters erupted into the zora butter dance, in apparent mockery of Dynamos supporters.
