The Fifa/Coca-Cola World rankings released Wednesday shows that the Warriors have made a slight gain from their previous rating.
The Warriors have moved up the ladder to position 126 in the world and 35 in Africa, from the previous 129 and 36 they recorded last month.
The Norman Mapeza-coached side who were on position 34 in Africa before the Mali game have swopped positions with Ethiopia who are now on position 35.
The Warriors, who are third in Group A with two points from three matches and staring elimination in the face, engage the Eagles in the reverse fixture of the Nations Cup on June 5 at the National Sports Stadium.
Mapeza has also named his provisional 23-men squad for the must-win Group A encounter.
Mapeza retained the bulk of the team that travelled to Mali.
Esrom Nyandoro was also called back to the squad, his last match for the Warriors was a goalless draw at home to Cape Verde before being dropped for the Mali game.
On the foreign front, Ajax Cape Town midfielder enforcer, Willard Katsande, who has played a part in the Cape Town's charge against the ABSA premier league title, has been noticed while Costa Nhamoinesu of Zaglebie Lubin in Poland has also found his way into the list.
Denmark-based Quincy Antipas, whose last match for the Warriors was at home against Cape Verde late last year has been recalled.
Cyprus's Noel Kaseke who could not make it for the Mali trip due to injury has also been called up and is likely to fill in the problematic right-back position.
Warriors' next opponents Mali, who were ranked 15th in Africa and 70 in the world, when the figures were released last month, have maintained their position while surprise Group A leaders Cape Verde who have seven points so far in the campaign have also maintained their position.
The Blue Sharks are at position 18 in Africa and 79 in the world. Group A anchors Liberia, despite losing 4-2 in their last Africa Cup of Nations qualifier to Cape Verde moved one place up the ladder to position 43 in Africa 157 in the world.
