Silo United soccer player who collapsed and died laid to rest

SILO United and former Dynamos youth attacking midfielder, Nqobizitha Ndlovu, who collapsed and died during a Division One match at Rutendo on Sunday, was buried at his rural home in Nkayi yesterday.
Ndlovu (21), collapsed in the 55th minute as he was about to take a free kick, and was pronounced dead on admission at Kwekwe General Hospital.
It has since been established he was asthmatic.
Yesterday, Zifa Central Region chairman Patrick Hokonya joined the mourners as his league declared that all weekend matches observe a minute of silence.
The region also sent a message of condolence.
"On Sunday 15th March 2011 we lost a Silo United player during the match between Rutendo Stars FC And Silo United FC.
"We are saddened by this death and all the members of staff, executive and the entire football fraternity join the family in mourning the sad departure of Nqobizita Ndlovu.
"May all the clubs observe a minute of silent in all the matches in memory of our dear departed comrade.
"May his soul rest in peace," read the letter signed by the Zifa Central Region administrator, Gift Nyapomwe.
