The Zimbabwe Warriors have boosted their confidence ahead of Sunday's opening CHAN encounter with Morocco following a 2-nil victory over Gabon in a friendly match played in South Africa on Tuesday.
The Warriors registered a 2-nil win over Gabon giving head coach Ian Gorowa some encouragement ahead of the commencement of the CHAN tournament this weekend.
The Warriors needed the confidence boost given that they are faced with a tough opening encounter with Morocco on Sunday.
The Zimbabwean squad of local based players got their goals from FC Platinum striker Donald Ngoma and Highlanders midfielder Milton Ncube.
Ngoma was the first to score for the Warriors in first half action before Milton Ncube put the game to rest late in the 85th minute.
Gorowa, who had been yearning to see his charges in competitive action, should be satisfied with the positive result that should lift his charges' spirits ahead of Sunday's showdown with Morocco.
