Warriors coach Ian Gorowa has said his charges will not be forced into submission by the Atlas Lions' top billing ahead of today's Group B Chan clash with the North Africans at the Athlone Stadium.
The match kicks off at 5pm and is live on SuperSport 4 and SuperSport4 HD.
The Warriors, marking their third appearance at the Chan tournament, are bidding for a debut place in the knock-out stages of a continental tournament and coach Richard Taoussi's men are on paper their biggest impediment in a group that also features Burkina Faso and Uganda.
The Lions have already stoked the flames with their goalkeeper Khalid El Askri of Raja Casablanca telling journalists here that the Lions will beat the Warriors so as to give a firm launch pad to their debut Chan appearance.
A lot is expected from the North Africans who have a squad laden with talent headlined by tear-away striker Mouhssine Lajour and midfielder Mohsine Moutaouali of Raja and that they bundled out holders Tunisia by a 1-0 aggregate on their way to the finals is a clear testimony of their pedigree.
But Gorowa has said the Warriors will not be looking into that but rather throw caution to the wind and trade leather for leather with their more illustrious opponents in a quest for an early upset that will also mark a second victory for the Warriors at Chan finals, the first being an Archieford Gutu-inspired 1-0 victory over Ghana at the 2011 finals.
Probable line-ups:
Zimbabwe: G Chigova, P Jaure, E Chipeta, H Zvirekwi, M Ncube, D Phiri, A Sadiki, P Manhanga, S Sithole, K Mahachi, D Ngoma.
Morocco: K El Askri, N Lamyaghri, A Sasaa, Z El Hachimi, M Oulhaj, A Chagou, A Karrouchy, A Asbahi, I Erraki, M Moutaouali, M Lajour, A El Ouady.
