The ZBC has secured the rights to broadcast the 2014 African Nations Championships (CHAN), which kicked off on Saturday in South Africa.
The national broadcaster will start broadcasting the tournament on Tuesday after failing to broadcast the opening ceremony on Saturday and the first six matches of the tournament.
Meanwhile, the Zimbabwean Warriors who drew nil-all with Morocco in their first Group B encounter on Sunday will be hoping for a change of fortunes when they take on Uganda on the 16th of this month before concluding the group stage with a match against Burkina Faso on the 20th.
Warriors Manager, Sharif Musa told the ZBC News from South Africa that although the Warriors did well to keep the Moroccans at bay in the goalless draw, a victory against Uganda in their second match is the only acceptable result if they harbour hopes of securing a place in the knockout stage of the continental competition.
"It was a good result considering the strength of the Moroccan team. However, nothing but a win will suffice in our next match against Uganda who are bubbling with confidence after beating Burkina Faso. If we fail to win that match then we would have put ourselves in a very difficult situation, so we are working on ensuring we beat Uganda in our hope of making it to the knockout stage," he said.
Zimbabwe played well but spurned the opportunity to beat Morocco after missing several chances.
Donald Ngoma, Simba Sithole and Ali Sadiki missed good chances that could have put Zimbabwe in the driving seat in their opening match.
In their second match, the Warriors take on Group B leaders, Uganda, who beat the Stallions of Burkina Faso 2-1 on Sunday.
