EAGLE Life Assembly leader Prophet Blessing Chiza says Zimbabwe will reach the semi-final stage of the Orange African Nations Championship (Chan) in a new prophecy.
The Bulawayo-based Chiza, who is in contact with some of the players in Warriors' camp who are seeking spiritual guidance, said the Warriors will score "more than two goals" in their quarter-final match against Mali on Saturday.
"I see Zimbabwe beating Mali and scoring more than two goals. The Mali game is your game. If we move together, we can make it even to the final of Chan but they must believe," said Prophet Chiza.
He also predicted individual success for some of the players like Kuda Mahachi and Peter Moyo, who have both picked man-of-the-match accolades.
"Peter, receive this prophecy: today is your day. Fear not, be of good cheer. You are a God-anointed and gifted player. Your soccer is a gift from God. It's not just skill. Believe in his prophets and you shall prosper (2 Chronicles 20:20). Have a wonderful game'," said Chiza before their game against Burkina Faso on Monday.
Chiza also predicted two gilt-edged chances for Rio, which the midfielder sent to the terraces.
"Congratulations for being man of the match, I enjoyed your soccer. You are now dangerous and highly skilled. Though you didn't score in this game, I still continue to see your two goals in this tournament, which you must score. I see two goals like white clouds getting into the net from your legs. Let's continue praying," said Chiza after the encounter.
On Mahachi, he said: "Kuda Mahachi I see you playing a game you have never played before. It's your time now to fly and I see so many players like you getting observer soccer agents approaching you for your signature."
Prophet Chiza said he wanted to pray for the strikers who failed to find the back of the net in the group stages to do wonders in Saturday's match.
It took a solitary goal from former Highlanders midfielder Masimba Mambare to get the Warriors through to group stages as they edged Burkina Faso on Monday.
"Peter I want to anoint the strikers in camp like I did to you, Mambare and Milton Ncube. And I can see you beating Mali. You are supposed to proceed to the semi-finals," said Chiza in a Whatsapp message to Moyo, which was seen by Chronicle.
Chiza also predicted that the "anointed'' Highlanders players who are in the squad will deliver superb performances. Moyo and Ncube were involved in the move that led to the precious goal scored by Mambare.
Prophet Chiza shot to prominence after predicting victory for Highlanders in the 2013 Mbada Diamonds Cup final which they won by beating How Mine 3-0.
