Mali 1 - 2 ZimbabweZimbabwe reached the semifinals of the African Nations Championships for the first time, after they beat Mali 2-1 at the Cape Town Stadium.
Zimbabwe went ahead in the 10th minute after Simba Sithole pounced on a long ball, before firing into the bottom corner.
Peter Moyo nearly doubled Zimbabwe's advantage in the 24th minute with a shot from range, which Soumaila Diakite palmed away for a corner.

Diakite was called into action the 83rd minute, this time to brilliantly deny Masimba Mambare.
Mahamadou Sidibe came close in the 84th minute but the substitute shot into the side-netting from a tight angle.
Mali got a consolation goal in the 88th minute through Hamidou Sinayoko's header from close range.
