Bosso secures $700 000 sponsorship

HIGHLANDERS FC has secured a whopping $700 000 sponsorship from Banc ABC rescuing the Bulawayo giants from further sliding into bankruptcy, club auditors have said.
This is contained in a report by Grant Thornton presented to members during Sunday's AGM.

"Without further Qualifying our opinion, we draw your attention to the fact that Highlanders Football Club incurred a net loss of US$113 279 resulting in a cumulative loss of US$586 244. This cumulative loss, along with other matters as set forth in Notice 13 indicate the existence of material uncertainty that may cast significant doubt about the Club's ability to continue as going concern.
However, the club has secured US$700 000 sponsorship from Banc ABC for the 2014 year, this is likely to alleviate the impact of this going concern".
The report says the club highest gate taking was when rivals Dynamos visited with $28 675 collected followed by a clash with Caps United which generated $14 617.
The un-lucrative tie was with Monomotapa which saw a mere $17 being raised.
