Zimbabwe international goalkeeper Tapuwa Kapini suffered a serious head injury following a changing room accident at his base in Durban, South Africa, last week. According to reports from Durban, Kapini slipped in the changing room and smashed his head on the floor before suffering a serious concussion. The club's official website confirmed that the Zimbabwean goalkeeper could face at least two weeks on the sidelines, while Usuthu coach Craig Rosslee has indicated that he will take extra precautionary measures.
"Kapini suffered a serious concussion and he has taken a while to come to speed. "We are taking the necessary precaution and will only put him back into training once we've received the green light from the doctors. "We do not want to take a risk and make a mistake," Rosslee was quoted as saying.
Kapini's mobile phone was not reachable for the better part of the week, suggesting the Amazulu skipper could be on a strict bed rest.
