Dembare boss released from police custody

Dynamos treasurer Webster Marechera, who had been arrested over allegations of fraud, has been released from police custody.
Marechera was being accused of prejudicing the club of $14 000 through under banking and was released on summons Tuesday evening after Dynamos Private Limited tendered a withdrawal affidavit.
In their withdrawal affidavit, the company's finance director said there was a misunderstanding after the treasurer failed to provide information leading to Marechera's arrest.
He added there has not been any evidence to indicate Marechera had committed any crime.
Police confirmed Marechera's release, but said they have since forwarded the docket to the Attorney General for prosecution.
