Incumbent ZIFA chairman Cuthert "Pismas" Dube has been re elected as the Zimbabwe Football Association President for another 4 years.

Dube polled 44 vote over Trevor Carelse Juul's 14 in a second round of voting in a run off. The first round gave Dube 34, Juul 14, Leslie Gwindi 10. Dube did not poll the required 2/3 majority and so had to go for a run off with the second man Juul.

The out come of the elections have generally been condemned by football lovers in the country. Soccer fans have accused the ZIFA councillors who formed the electoral body for being bribed by the cash rich Dube. Through out the week media was amass with accusations of vote buying by Dube with some sectors correctly predicting that Dube has 34 votes which he indeed garnered.

Rumours were making rounds in the week that the 34 councillors were making numerous errands into Harare sleeping at five star hotels and being showered with presents and cash.

Dube who is now nicknamed Cashbert or Pismas was recently exposed as being probably the highest paid individual in the country with a salary of over $500 000 per month while at the helm of the Premier Service Medical Aid Society PSMAS. Almost everyone in the country fell out of favour with Dube for his massive corruption expose of which noone expected him to win the ZIFA polls.
In the run up to the elections Trevor Carelse Juul appeared to be the people's favourite with an excellent manifesto, CV and experience.
