FORMER Monomotapa and Warriors coach Norman Mapeza has dismissed speculation linking him to the job currently held by Callisto Pasuwa at Premiership side Dynamos.

Mapeza, who has been keeping a low-profile from football since he was suspended for six months by the Zifa board over the Asiagate saga, said he has not been holding talks with anyone at Dynamos or at any other Premiership club.

"I do not know anything about the offers to coach Dynamos. What I hear is speculation through the media only," said Mapeza.

"I have never spoken to anyone from Dynamos.

"Maybe there are people who would want me to be there but I have no control over what people discuss. As I said, I know nothing about the offers."

The former Zimbabwe skipper, who still plays social football, has also shot down social media speculation linking him to CAPS United.

"It's the same with all the clubs. I have not been approached and that's all I can say," said Mapeza.

Some CAPS United fans were also positing on social media that Mapeza should be roped in to replace Taurai Mangwiro, following the Green Machine's 4-0 drubbing against Highlanders.

Previously, Mapeza had also been linked with the post at FC Platinum following the resignation of Tenant Chilumba in July 2013.

Meanwhile, Dynamos midfielder Walter Mukanga's car a VW was damaged on Monday night when it crashed into their house in Tafara.

Details of the accident were still sketchy yesterday, but it is believed that the braking system failed. He escaped without injuries.
