Chiredzi FC 1 - 2 Harare City
Moses "Bambo" Chunga was barred from sitting on the Chiredzi FC technical bench yesterday as the boardroom squabbles at the embattled Lowvled side rage on.

A court interdict sought by the club's executive bars Chunga from interfering with the club's affairs and the legendary coach did not witness the loss to Harare City, which worsens Chiredzi FC's relegation woes.

The match kicked off 30 minutes late as the Chiredzi FC players did not have licenses and neither did they have a playing kit, which are allegedly in Chunga's possession.

Harare City threatened not to fulfil the fixture and only played under protest following the intervention of match commissioner John Madziva.

City officials then took a group photo of Chiredzi FC players for "verification" with the PSL, while the home side's executive later availed an alternative playing kit.

Chiredzi FC's stand-in coach Tinashe Zishiri had a thin base of players as some are reportedly still stranded in Harare where they played ZPC Kariba last Saturday.

The off-field drama overshadowed a rather exciting match which saw Harare City scoring two late goals through Martin Vengesayi and James Jam to cancel out Wellington Kamudyariwa's 51st penalty strike.

Harare City who were under the guidance of Masimba Dinyero in the absence of Bigboy Mawiwi who was attending a coaching course in Harare, moved away from the relegation zone into 12th position.

In Gweru, Munyaradzi Musiiwa reports that Chapungu winger Maxwell Mavuto missed a penalty as the airmen were held to a goalless draw by visiting FC Platinum at Ascot.

Chapungu maintained their unbeaten run at their fortress, while FC Platinum's see-saw campaign continues.

The result leaves both clubs static on the log standings, with Chapungu remaining 11th, while FC Platinum are still ninth going into the last round of the season's first half.
