Hwange bounced back from a 3-match consecutive loss to snatch a point away from Harare City in a round 15 PSL fixture played at Rufaro stadium Saturday afternoon.

The two teams drew 1-all.

It was a thrilling encounter with both teams matching pound for pound.

Harare City were the first to draw blood in the 7th minute when Martin Vengesai played a one two move with James Jamu before shooting the hosts into the lead.

Hwange were to recover when Phakamani Dube stepped behind a dead ball in the 20th minute to send in a stunning free kick that restored parity for Chipangano.

The second half turned out not as brilliant and competitive as the first 45 minutes with Harare City threatening to surge back into the lead, but Hwange solidly defended the point gained.

In the absence of the head coaches, the stand in coaches Masimba Dinyero for Harare City and Brian Ndlovu for Hwange would certainly be satisfied with the result.

Meanwhile, the Zvishavane derby played at Mandava stadium ended with FC Platinum endorsing themselves as the big boys of the small asbestos town after they beat Shabanie Mine 2-1.
