Tickets for the international charity club friendly match between Dynamos and Orlando Pirates will go on sale Tuesday, KickOff.com has revealed.
Dubbed the Ubuntu Calabash, the friendly match whose main aim is to fight xenophobia and encourage co-existence among Africans, will be played at the Rand Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
The match is organised by Johannesburg-based humanitarian organization - the Southern Africa Women's Institute for Migration Affairs (SAWIMA), in partnership with Show Me Your Number (SMYN).
SAWIA director Joyce says the tickets, to be sold at Computicket and Shoprite shops, will be available from Tuesday evening and remain on sale up to the day of the match.
"Tickets will be going for a uniform fee of R40 each," says Dube. "Those who fail to buy the tickets in time can still get them at the stadium before the kick-off time, which is 3pm."
Ubuntu Calabash was introduced last year as the Ubuntu Derby and Dube says proceeds from the now annual soccer event will be donated to a number of charitable causes here in South Africa, for both locals and African migrants.
