Kaizer Chiefs are working around the clock to secure the services of their loaned striker Knowledge Musona ahead of the 2014/2015 season.
Musona who is currently contracted to Bundesliga outfit 1899 Hoffenheim, is the fans choice for the starting line up in the Carling Black Label Cup.
Chiefs take on Orlando Pirates next week in the fourth edition of the annual pre-season match.
The votes of the Kaizer Chiefs fans could go to waste if Amakhosi fails to reach an amicable agreement with Hoffenheim.
But Chiefs haven't given up hope of luring Musona back to South Africa. Vina Maphosa from Kaizer Chiefs says: "As Kaizer Chiefs, we have made it known, we have never kept it as a secret that we want the boy back in South Africa. We are just waiting for Hoffenheim to make the decision. The boy has pronounced very clearly that he wants to play for Kaizer Chiefs."
Over 14 million votes have been cast of those 60% by Chiefs supporters. However, for first time the voting numbers are down.
Black Label general manager, Vijay Govindsamy says: "The reason why votes are slightly down versus last year. It is because this is year for the first time that fans have to pay and the reason why they pay for the USSD is because the telecommunications companies MTN, Vodacom and Cell C have mandated that this particular campaign and all campaigns of USSD are not free anymore."
The match will be played at the FNB Stadium on 26 July.
