Castle Lager Premier Soccer League clubs are expected to take part in the fourth edition of the Mbada Diamonds Cup with the PSL officials scheduled to meet Mbada Diamonds personnel this week to kick start preparations for what has turned out to be the richest football competition in the land.
PSL chief executive officer Kennedy Ndebele confirmed earlier this week they would be meeting the officials from the diamond mining firm to set the dates for this year's competition.
The tournament has brought excitement to local football as the rich rewards have seen teams fighting tooth and nail to lift the cup.
Dynamos have won the cup twice while Highlanders bagged it last year after beating How Mine 3-0 in a final played at a packed Barbourfields Stadium.
The Mbada Diamonds Cup has become a pioneer in local football taking the country's top guns to areas that have had no or little Premiership action while lowering the charges to a $1 to ensure all football fans get an opportunity to watch their favourite teams.
