Makepekepe on revenge mission

CAPS United clash with Chapungu in a Chibuku Super Cup first round tie at Rufaro Stadium in Harare this afternoon with vengeance on the hosts' minds.
The Green Machine were hammered 0-3 by Chapungu in a league tie at Ascot Stadium in Gweru on June 7, their second biggest defeat this season.
In an interview with The Zimbabwe Mail yesterday, CAPS United assistant coach Mike Madzivanyika said they will be approaching today's cup match against the Gweru-based airforce side with a winning mentality as they hope to continue from where they left off last week when thumping Chiredzi FC 3-0.
"They beat us in a league match, but that is now water under the bridge and our approach to this game will not be in any way different from our league games as we take each game as it comes and we are confident that we will win," he said.
Madzivanyika, who is taking charge of the Green Machine in the absence of head coach Taurai Mangwiro, who is attending a Caf A licence course in the capital, said he was hoping to progress to the Chibuku Super Cup quarter-finals despite being wary of the threat posed by John Nyikadzino's charges.
"We hope to progress to the next round as our main target is to win the trophy. But we have to take each game as it comes. Chapungu have been playing well so far, so this is a game which will be a bit difficult for us," he said.
CAPS United will miss the services of Dominic Chungwa, who limped out of last week's league win over Chiredzi FC after sustaining a groin injury.
