Highlanders, Dynamos clash in TM-Pick'n'Pay challenge

A new sponsor has hit local football and will announce itself with a high profile challenge match this Saturday pitting traditional foes, Highlanders and Dynamos at the National Sports Stadium in Harare.

It's challenge time again for DeMbare and Boss and battle lines were drawn as the TM-Pick 'n' Pay challenge match was officially unveiled.

The new baby for Zimbabwean football will see the winner of the grudge tie walking away US$60000 richer while the runners up will pocket US$50000.

TM-Pick 'n' Pay Group Head of Buying, Jealousy Kondo said after witnessing unbelievable consumer support, it is time they pay back by giving the consumers something they treasure.

In the absence of the Premier Soccer League (PSL) Chairman, Twine Phiri or anyone from his management team, Highlanders Chairman, who is also the PSL Vice Chairman, Peter Dube pledged to safeguard the new brand, adding that it is by no coincidence that the new sponsors chose to partner football.

It does not too often come this good as supporters will only have to folk US$1 to watch the battle of Zimbabwe challenge match, with children under the age of 13 allowed free of charge.

The TM-Pick 'n' Pay sponsorship package set at US$300000 will also see the man-of-the-match getting a windfall, an instant prize of US$2000.
