Tendai Ndoro of Black Aces during the Absa Premiership match between Ajax Cape Town and MP Black Aces at Athlone Stadium on March 28, 2014 in Cape Town, South Africa.
Black Aces' head coach Clive Barker has dismissed media reports suggesting that his Zimbabwean goal ace, Tendai "Fire" Ndoro is headed for the AmaZayoni exit door.
"Tendai is staying with us and I have made that clear to the directors and the player. I have asked him to focus on his stay at Aces and he knows how much I value him. He is a terrific player who has all the attributes to do really well in his career. What I really like about him is that he is very grounded, a really nice guy and he works hard," Barker told AmaZayoni's official website.
The 70 year-old former Bafana Bafana Afcon-winning coach added that the gossip around Ndoro leaving the club is irresponsible and "unsettling for both the player and the club."
Barker said his striker, Ndoro, is headed for bigger things than the rumour that the reigning Zimbabwe PSL top scorer "is set on an imminent move purported around a swop deal with an Orlando Pirates player."
Barekr added: "If I had to choose between Lionel Messi and Tendai Ndoro, I would back my player as he is set for bigger recognition," said Barker who suggests that these reports are uncalled for in today's professional era of football.
