Dembare ponder over African safari

Zimbabwe's reputation in CAF club competitions may suffer a huge dent if reigning league champions' Dynamos uphold the sentiments not to take part in next year's African safari in the event they win the championship title.
The financial crisis that has characterised the 2014 football season has led to teams coming to round table meetings to decide whether they will be part of the show in the African safari once they win the league title.
Among those in a dilemma are Harare giants Dynamos.
The club which almost cancelled its participation last season only to take a last minute gamble is one of the teams cracking its head over what decision to take.
An inquiry on the matter saw Dynamos Football Club Chairman Kenny Mubaiwa revealing his team will be engaged in an introspection meeting on Wednesday evening to come up with a concrete decision.
With Highlanders still to complete their three year CAF ban, for failing to fulfil fixtures due to financial constraints, the future certainly looks bleak for the country's involvement in the African safari.
Observers have called for clubs and sports associations to make proper and careful planning before undertaking any obligations, especially under the prevailing economic environment.
