Mugabe mocks CAPS United

President Robert Mugabe has jokingly remarked about CAPS United's misfortune of scoring own goals.
In his speech during the African Union Sports Council (AUSC) Region V Under-20 Youth Games torch-lighting ceremony at State House yesterday, Mugabe, whose teenage son Chatunga is a CAPS fan, said the own goals have deeply disappointed the 17-year-old socialite.
"We (Zimbabweans) have to score goals. A goal is not in our own nets. My boy supports CAPS but his team always score in its own net," Mugabe said, sparking laughter from the crowd.
Taurayi Mangwiro's men scored two own goals in the two cup defeats to FC Platinum in the last two weeks.
On both occasions, defender George Nyirenda achieved the unwanted feat.
The Malawian first turned into his own net in the ZNA Charity Cup 6-0 drubbing by Platinum before beating his own keeper again last weekend in the 1-0 Chibuku Super Cup defeat.
