Caps United are the king makers once again.
After handing Dynamos the crown last season, history has repeated itself this season, with the Green Machine beating favourites, ZPC Kariba 3-2 at Gwanzura Stadium.
ZPC went into the match leading second placed DeMbare by two points, but a defeat to Caps United, and Dynamos' 2-nil win over How Mine ensured a 4th consecutive title for the Harare giants.
ZPC Kariba had destiny in their own hands but a first-half madness saw them concede three goals to go to half time trailing 3-1.
Gerald Phiri, Honey Chimutimunzeve and Ishmael Tindwa got the goals for Caps United, while Limited Chikafa was on the score-sheet for ZPC.
A second half fight back was not enough for the premiership surprise packages, who had to end the match second best.
DeMbare on the other hand had to rely on Caps United, who have proved to be one of the professional teams in the division.
United had nothing to lose in this match as they had already sealed a top four finish to ensure qualification into the Mbada Diamonds Cup.
The Green Machine however put a spirited performance to deny ZPC Kariba a maiden PSL title.
It was the same story last season, as United forced a 2-all draw against log leaders, Harare City to hand the title to Dynamos.
At the National Sports Stadium, DeMbare dispatched How Mine 2-nil, a result that would have become irrelevant if ZPC Kariba had managed a draw against Caps United.
Russell Madamombe broke the deadlock in the 14th minute and the experience of Murape Murape paid off when the veteran midfielder grabbed the second for DeMbare in injury time.
This is the 4th consecutive title for DeMbare, a feet they achieved from 1980-83 seasons and also managed by Highlanders from 1999 to 2002.
