Gorowa set for Dembare?

Dynamos are negotiating with former Zimbabwe national team coach Ian Gorowa as a possible replacement for Calisto Pasuwa, who will step down at the end of the year.
Pasuwa wrote his own piece of history after becoming the first local coach to win four league titles on the trot when he led the Glamour Boys to their 21st domestic crown at the weekend.
DeMbare sealed their title when they beat How Mine 2-0 at the National Sports Stadium while ZPC Kariba, who had begun the weekend in pole position, lost 3-2 to CAPS United at Gwanzura Stadium.
Speaking after the match, Pasuwa confirmed that he would be leaving the Glamour Boys when his contract expires on December 31 due to a lack of support from the club bosses.
The Daily News understands the club's executive has already agreed to rope in Gorowa and negotiations are already underway.
According to the source, Gorowa and Mubaiwa are close buddies and the former Warriors coach is believed to have used his links in South Africa in the sale of Dynamos pair of George Chigova and Partson Jaure.
Gorowa could not be reached for comment as he is currently outside the country.
Dynamos chairperson Kenny Mubaiwa was cagey on the matter only saying that their target at the moment was to persuade Pasuwa to renew his contract.
"We have no problem with Pasuwa carrying on as the coach," Mubaiwa told Daily News.
"We are aware his contract is coming to an end but we will have to sit down and discuss about the new contract. There was too much pressure lately that's why we couldn't discuss anything.
"But now that everything is settled we can sit and discuss for the new contract. As Dynamos we are happy with what Pasuwa has achieved at the club. We want him to continue as the coach."
However, this notion was dismissed by sources within the club who revealed that Mubaiwa and Pasuwa's relationship was beyond reconciliation.
Pasuwa, who expressed his displeasure at the executive's lack of support, got wind of the plot to sabotage him from some of his trusted players after the 5-3 win over Harare City earlier this month.
"There are a number of senior players who were bribed by the executive to derail Pasuwa's march towards a fourth consecutive title," explained the source.
"Although it's difficult to get the evidence since it was smartly done, the players themselves know who was being paid by the executive.
"The executive does not want Pasuwa and the chairman Kenny Mubaiwa is just pretending to like Pasuwa when in actual fact he is engineering for a new coach to come on board."
In the final match against How Mine, Pasuwa chose to throw in a number of fringe players into fray as he did not trust some of the senior players.
Pasuwa chose to start with the likes of Russell Madamombe, Milton Makopa, Murape Murape, Farai Mupasiri, Tichaona Mabvura and Elisha Muroiwa, who had all seen little action throuout the season.
