Zimbabwe Warriors climbed one place to 86th from 87 in the latest Fifa World Rankings released on Monday.

This comes after the Warriors climbed 2 positions to 126 in May from 129 in March - the team's second worst ranking in its history. In the rankings released in June, the Zimbabwe Warriors had their best climb, climbing 39 positions to 87.

Warriors also climbed one place in African rankings to 22.

This comes just after some good performances by Mapeza's team.

Zimbabwe's highest FIFA ranking was position 40 in April 1995 during the Dream Team era, its lowest ranking is position 131 which was reached in October 2009. The best climb on the rankings was recorded 10 June when the Warriors climbed 39 places to position 89 and the worst decline was in February 2007 when the Warriors dropped 22 positions.

ZIFA is currently dealing with match fixing scandals which led to Warriors' free fall in FIFA rankings.

World and European champions Spain stay top and unchanged, with Netherlands and Germany also unchanged at number 2 and three respectively.

Brazi jumped one place to position 4 in the world and the biggest mover was Uruguay who recently won the Copa America cup. They jumped 13 places to number 5 pushing England down two places to number 6. 10.

The highest-ranked African nation is still Ivory Coast, at No 14.

Ghana continued their fall down the rankings, dropping a further 3 spots to 36th after their 18-spot dive the previous month, which means that Egypt is now No 2 on the continent.
