SWEEPING changes are looming at Highlanders following revelations that the entire technical department has been made to re-apply.
According to B-Metro, all the club's coaches from the Under-14 to the senior team will have to re-apply to be considered for the 2015 season and beyond.
"Highlanders Under-14, 16, 18 and 19 coaches were recently given letters that were informing them that they should re-apply for their jobs. The club's senior team coaches, technical director, fitness trainer and welfare manager were not spared," said the source.
However, Bosso chief executive officer Ndumiso Gumede could not be drawn to shed light on the issue saying a story published by B-Metro last week had caused "a crisis" in the club.
The story was titled "Bank slashes Highlanders sponsorship ... Foreign coaches jostle for Mark Mathe is Bosso's senior team care-taker coach while Cosmas "Tsano" Zulu was appointed technical director following the departure of Kelvin Kaindu in September.
Peter "Oxo" Nkomo rejoined the club from FC Platinum as goalkeepers coach while Majjaha Ndlovu assumed the role of fitness trainer.
Willard Khumalo has been the club's welfare manager. In the club's junior ranks Danny Ngwenya heads the Under-14 technical team while Dumaza Dube heads the Under-16 technical line-up.
The club's former player Gift Lunga (jnr) is the head of the Under-18 coaches.
Shephered "Mabaleka" Sibanda is the top coach at the Bulawayo giants' Under-19 team.
The post for the top job in the senior team has attracted interest all over the world since Zambian Kelvin Kaindu left the club, confirming the long held view that Highlanders was a big brand.
