Highlanders officially unveils new coach

Highlanders football club has officially unveiled a new coach.
He is 49- year old Bongani Mafu who takes over from Kelvin Kaindu who was fired before the end of the season.
Officially presenting the new coach to the media in Bulawayo, Bosso chairman Peter Dube said the team has engaged Mafu as he is highly qualified and knows the club's culture.
In his remarks, Mafu, who is on a one-year contract said he is elated to be Highlanders head coach as it is a team that he has supported from childhood.
Mafu is a holder of the Zimbabwe soccer coaching advanced certificate and a German international coaching licence.
He was once at AC Milan for 6 months and also holds a UEFA B coaching badge.
Mafu has also spent 15 years in England where he did various coaching jobs, among them as head coach of Sherborne Town where he won titles with the Under16s and Under 18s teams.
He had a stint with Botswana's Gaborone United.
His best achievement to date remains guiding Zimbabwe Saints to a second place finish in the Zimbabwe Premier League 13 years ago.
