Knowledge Musona's long-protracted move to Bundesliga side TSG Hoffenheim has been concluded with the Kaizer Chiefs striker signing a five-year deal.

Club Manager Bobby Motaung, who was instrumental in securing the deal after flying to Germany with Musona explained at a press conference at the club on Thursday morning, that the player will join up with his new club as soon as a work permit is issued reported Football365.

Motaung told the club's official website: "The negotiations between the two clubs went very well without any glitches. Hoffenheim demonstrated a high level of professionalism. Mike Makaab also played a huge role in ensuring that the deal happens without any challenges. I would also like to acknowledge the presence of Nigel Munyati from Black Aces in Zimbabwe that nurtured the talent of Musona.

"On behalf of Kaizer Chiefs, I would like to congratulate Knowledge (Musona) and wish him all the best in Europe. He has the blessing of the Executive Chairperson, Kaizer Motaung, The Management, Technical Team and everyone at the Kaizer Chiefs Village in Naturena.

Hoffenheim Football Director Ernst Tanner was also present and echoed Motaung's sentiments.

He said: "We are glad to have signed one of the brightest talents in Africa. Musona joins us on a five year deal. He persuaded us when he was over there with us not only for his talent but he is a nice person.

"We are certain that Hoffenheim is a right club for him to develop his talent. We hope to integrate him to the Bundesliga. Once again I would like to thank all the parties for the professionalism they demonstrated throughout the process."

Musona offered his heartfelt thanks as he embarks on a dream move overseas: "I just want to thank the club for providing me with an opportunity to come here as a youngster two years ago.

"I have enjoyed every minute during my stay here. The coach, players, fans and everyone associated with the club have been good to me.

"Kaizer Chiefs is without a doubt one of the biggest clubs in the continent and it was an honour to don the gold and black. I would like to wish the team all the best during 2011/2012 season. Khosi 4 Life."
