10-MEN Dynamos beat Caps United 1-nil to retain the Bob@91 Cup at Rufaro Stadium this afternoon.
It was a sweet revenge for Dembare, who after losing the SinoZim Cup final to their opponents two weeks ago, had to hold on for a crucial victory that handed them their fourth Bob Super Cup.
Midfield wizard, Ronald Chitiyo gave Dembare the first half lead from a sublime shot but Caps United threatened to come back after Stephen Alimenda was sent off for a second bookable offence just after half time.
Dembare held on, and could have buried the game in injury time but Hardlife Zvirekwi saved Caps from humiliation when he cleared a late Simba Nhivi effort off the line.
For the win, Dembare pocketed US$40 000, while the runners-up, Caps United got US$20 000.
Highlanders, who lost 2-1 to Caps United in the play-off match last weekend, got US$10 000 consolation.
