Musona will play says Mapeza
Zimbabwe football coach Norman Mapeza is hopeful that ace striker Knowledge Musona will recover on time for next month's 2012 African Nations Cup qualifier against Liberia at Rufaro Stadium.
Musona was injured last week while in training with his new German Bundesliga club Hoffenheim, who ruled him out for three weeks.
Mapeza on Tuesday named the former Kaizer Chiefs star in his 23-man squad for the crucial qualifier against the West African, who are bottom of Group A.
Mapeza said his decision to name Musona in the squad despite the injury will not cause friction with the Bundesliga club.
Mapezam said an alternative will have to be found if Musona fails to recovder.
Musona is the Warriors' leading scorer in the campaign with three goals in Group A.
The Warriors will not be reading too much into the Lone Star's recent frailties in front of goal, according to Mapeza.
