The Zimbabwe Football Association (ZIFA) has remained mum over Dynamos' letter regarding their unwillingness to have a replay match of the Uhuru Cup final between the Harare giants and FC Platinum.
Dembare are refusing to engage in the replay, saying playing it under a commercialised banner on the 13th of May defeats the objectives of the Independence celebrations.
In their letter dated 22nd of April, Dembare noted that ‘having the game played on another day has no value to the celebrations of the independence.'
It further notes that 'if the game is to be replayed to decide the winner, Dynamos FC feels that it is appropriate to give FC Platinum the trophy together with the prize money since they are the defending Champions.'
The letter also indicated Dynamos officially withdrawing from the rescheduled replay and advising ZIFA to nominate another team if they are to go ahead with the replay.
Dynamos Secretary General, Webster Chikengezha confirmed his executive is still waiting for ZIFA's response.
In a related development, employees at 53 Livingston House today went to ZIFA President, Cuthbert Dube's house petitioning him for their outstanding salaries.
Reports say the employees have gone for 11 months unpaid but their efforts to seek audience failed to materialise because the ZIFA boss did not meet with them.
The employees were only able to leave a petition letter signed by most of ZIFA's employees at the security manning the gates.
